Ascenti commissioned a series of images to build out their internal stock library across web, marketing and patient-facing materials.

The brief was to show physiotherapy as it’s actually experienced: conversations, explanation, reassurance, and treatment - rather than staged smiles or abstract ideas of healthcare. The emphasis was on collaboration and trust: therapists listening, demonstrating, and working with patients, not performing for the camera.

The shoot took place over a day with a rotating cast of staff and models, allowing us to create a wide range of combinations and scenarios from a single, controlled setup. Working quickly was essential — not just to cover volume, but to keep interactions feeling natural and unforced. Small shifts in framing, gesture and timing were often enough to change the emphasis from consultation, to instruction, to treatment.

The resulting images are intentionally clean and restrained. They’re designed to work as a system rather than as individual hero shots — flexible, repeatable, and easy to use across different contexts — while still feeling human and attentive.
